Prague Portrait Photographer

See I’m already doing better staying on top of my bloggin…. I’m already patting myself on the back.  I’m going to try and make this part of my saturday afternoon, is getting a few blog posts out to keep people up to date on what I’m up to these days.  I’ve been hanging out with a few prague photographers and that’s been a real blast lately.  It’s so much fun meeting other photographers and talking shop, talking models, lighting…. all the drama in this biz.  It’s totally fun.  I’ve also just redesigned my whole website.  Blog not included.  I’m thinking about leaving the blog for a while.  I don’t really feel like changing it, and it’s a big pain, and lets be honest nobody ever really comes to this blog.  At this point it’s more of a place for me to write down my experiences as a photographer so one day I can come back and walk through my work, and think about how I was feeling at that time.

In the interest of talking about feelings.  I’ve been so in love with my photography lately.  I feel like I’m making real progress to being one of the big portrait photographers here in prague.  Something that I will be very happy if I can start making that happen.  I think I’ve been a portrait artist all along.  People pictures are where it’s at for me.  I think it can be just as challenging as weddings, but I can be so much more creative.  The product that I’m selling with portrait photography is me, not what’s already in my portfolio.  And I like selling me a lot more than I like selling a package of images that fits perfectly with what I’ve already done.

I’ve also been doing more natural light work lately, and I feel like I’m coming back home from college for the first time.  I have some new tricks in my bag, but it just feels like home.  I love natural light so much, and I think I had lost track of that.  There’s just something magical about the magic hour.  And for the first time in a long time I feel more comfortable about using natural light, and bending it to my will.  Something I didn’t always feel comfortable about.  Sometimes I would stay in the shade because it was easier that way.  Now I’m venturing into the direct sun, but knowing how to work it.  Which is a totally knew and exciting world for me.

Anyways I hope yall enjoy these shots of Amanda that I took a while ago now, she was a total kick in the pants.  Great to work with. Tons of energy, and lots of fantastic looks.
